CIMO Fellowships for PhD Students

The College Scholarships Minorities are intended for Indian applicants who have completed a Master's degree. Both studies at the Master's also not a post-doctoral studies are supported in this program.

Postdoctoral Position College Scholarships Minorities at Plant Cell Physiology Laboratory


The College Scholarships Minorities candidate must be either non-French nationals or French scientists have spent two of the last three years at a foreign research institute. We invite candidates are motivated to send their application (CV and list of publications), as well as contact details of 2 referees. Experience in the field of plant genetics, protein biochemistry,confocal microscopy and / or proteomics / bioinformatics is a plus. The College Scholarships Minorities project will begin in 2011 and is planned for 2 years. Funding is provided by the ANR (French National Research Agency), through a program Eurotalents CEA.

, as well as control mechanisms that modulate the efficiency and iii) to reveal their consequences on the physiology of photosynthesis in C3 plants.

The College Scholarships Minorities University of Exeter Business School offers a scholarship specifically for students from the United Kingdom or the European Union, to the University of 2011/12. These students have to qualify for home / EU fresh and must have demonstrated high academic level. Master College Scholarships in School of Defense and Strategic Studies

School of Defense and Strategic Studies, Indonesia Defense University (IDU), now opening recruitment of students for Master Degree in three programs:
  1. Defense Economics
  2. Defense Management
  3. Disaster Management for National Security

All the IDU's students get scholarship in term of free tuition fee during study and additional supports. There is no obligation to work in the Ministry of Defense, but the students will be expected to be the leader in undertaking national defense and global strategic challenges.

Selection process will be conducted in Jakarta.

Qualifications for general requirements:

  • For military/police: minimum rank Captain - Lieutenant Colonel (graduated from Officer Advance Course/Suslapa)
  • For non-military: minimum S1 Degree from reputable university with minimum GPA 3.00
  • Excellent in English is a must (Min TOEFL 500)
  • Have some basic knowledge of the Indonesian Defense System

Scholarship From Pacific Islander Scholars, Australia

State Society and Governance in Melanesia Program (SSGM), situated in ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, is offering a Pacific Scholarship Award for eight places to graduate students and scholars from universities, research institutions and professional bodies in the Pacific Islands to attend its Developing Pacific Scholarship Program for two weeks from 31 January to 11 February 2011. Full travel costs to and from Canberra, plus accommodation, will be paid to successful Pacific Islander applicants.

This Program is envisaged as a training opportunity for younger Pacific Islands researchers.
During the first week of the Program, a selection of ANU Pacific Studies staff will offer brief summaries of their current research, there will be opportunities for comments and feedback on the visiting participant’s writing and research, and guided introductions to research resources. The second week will feature 15-20 minute presentations from each of the visitors on any aspect of their research. Trips around Canberra and social events will also be offered.

How to Apply
Send an abstract (less than 250 words) drawing on research you are currently or have recently undertaken and how you wish to develop this during your visit to ANU, as well as the topic of your proposed short presentation during the second week at the Pacific Research Colloquium. Please include a brief biographical description explaining who you are and which institution or organisation you are affiliated with.

Scholarships for international students at Colby-Sawyer College

International students are eligible for need-based and merit-based financial aid, and are encouraged to apply for a variety of awards that acknowledge students who have reached a high level of academic achievement throughout their high school career. With the exception of the Wesson Honors Scholarship, there is neither a separate application, nor deadline for these scholarships. As part of our rolling admissions process, students will be informed of the award decision at the point of acceptance. For international students, the admissions committee will recalculate your GPA based on equivalent letter and number grades from the Official High School Transcript you submit.

-Wesson Honors Scholarship - up to $68,000 over four years
-Founders Scholarship - up to $64,000 over four years
-Presidential Scholarship - up to $56,000 over four years
-Chargers Scholarship - up to $48,000 over four years

Colby-Sawyer also offers additional merit-based scholarships to incoming students based on their high school academic record, leadership qualities and community service involvement. These awards are not based on need and are renewable each year as long as the student remains in good academic standing. Students are eligible to apply for merit awards at any point, including prior to being accepted.

PhD Top-Up Scholarship for Research Projects in the fields of Laboratory

PhD Top-Up Scholarship for Research Projects in the fields of Laboratory, Clinical, Epidemiological, Psychosocial and/or Behavioural Science to minimise the effect of cancer in the community.

Cancer Council Western Australia aims to minimise the effect of cancer on our community through research and education and by providing people affected by cancer with support to enhance their quality of life. A key objective of the Cancer Council is to encourage and support a wide range of research activities into the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer and leukaemia.

Cancer Council Western Australia PhD Top Up Scholarships are offered to students with an outstanding track record in academic achievement and research potential to pursue full-time PhD studies in Western Australia in cancer-related research. Research projects can be in the fields of laboratory, clinical, epidemiological, psychosocial and/or behavioural science.
In 2011 a maximum of two PhD Top Up scholarships will be awarded to highly ranked PhD students awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent. Total value of the PhD Top Up scholarship will be up to $36,000 (tax exempt) for 3 years full-time, with a maximum payable rate of $12,000 per annum.

Applications for Cancer Council Western Australia research funding should be made through eligible institutions which are registered as Administering Institutions. Applicants should contact the Research Administration Officer of their Institution for further advice regarding the closing date, institutional approvals and processes.

Criminal Justice Scholarships for College

Legal profession has been one of the most high earning and elite profession in most of the developing countries of world since decades. A rewarding career in law enforcement is the dream of many students when they leave school, but most of them are unable to fulfill their dreams due to the high cost of a Law degree. Scholarships for college in the law field are few and the competition for the available scholarships is normally fierce. However, each law enforcement student must try his luck on the available scholarships because if you do not apply you never know if you could select. In this article I will explain some criminal justice scholarship programs available to law students.
o Correctional Association of Massachusetts (CAM) Scholarship Program: This program provides aid to students who have been accepted on a criminal justice program in a recognized college and who have a school GPA of 3.0. Students who have completed one year at the college can also apply for the aid if they have GPA of 3.0 or above. The program awards two $500 scholarships to students every year.
o R.C. Hentges Scholarship Program: This program provides aid to students enrolled in a fire service, law enforcement, legal (prosecution) or insurance (investigation) degree program. Two $500 scholarships are awarded each year to successful applicants.
o Monster Scholarship for Government & Public Service Students: This program provides aid to students enrolled in a government or public service majors. To apply for the scholarships, applicants have to submit an essay and show proof of community service. Successful applicants are awarded $2500 scholarships.
o Straightforward Media Law Enforcement Scholarship Program: This program provides aid to students enrolled in any law related degree. Each year four $500 scholarships are awarded by the program.
o Alphonso Deal Scholarship Award: This scholarship for college program provides aid to students that are planning to enroll on a two year or four years degree program in law related fields. The students will have to submit their school results and letters of recommendation from previous teachers to apply for this scholarshipprograms. Only US citizens can apply for this award. The amount of this scholarship award varies with each individual.
